After three games on the road, Elkhorn North is heading back home. They will take on the Blair Bears at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Elkhorn North's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five matches.
Last Saturday, Elkhorn North faced Millard North in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Elkhorn North came out on top in a nail-biter against Millard North and snuck past 66-63. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Meanwhile, Blair can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent match on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 46-17 victory over Lincoln Northwest at home. The win was some much needed relief for Blair as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
Blair found their leader in underclassman Gueryn Kay, who scored nine points.
Elkhorn North's win bumped their record up to 13-0. As for Blair, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-6.
Elkhorn North strolled past Blair when the teams last played back in February of 2022 by a score of 53-36. Will Elkhorn North repeat their success, or does Blair have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
