The Sharpsville Blue Devils will be playing at home against the Hickory Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Sharpsville has three straight victories, Hickory has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Last Saturday, Sharpsville strolled past Union with points to spare, taking the game 62-46.
Macie Steiner had a dynamite game for Sharpsville, scoring 26 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Palko, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Hickory, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 51-37 loss to Greenville last Monday.
Sharpsville has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 11-10 record this season. As for Hickory, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.
Sharpsville didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Hickory in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 49-44 win. Does Sharpsville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Hickory turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
