The St. Paul Swordsmen will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Don Lugo Conquistadores at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday. St. Paul is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
On December 5th, it was a hard-fought contest, but St. Paul had to settle for a 54-51 loss against Oak Hills.
Meanwhile, Don Lugo suffered a rough 40-19 loss at the hands of La Serna on Friday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Don Lugo has scored all season.
Despite their defeat, Don Lugo saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Issabela Medina, who scored four points along with eight rebounds, was perhaps the best of all.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Don Lugo struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
St. Paul now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Don Lugo, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5.
