The Liberty Union Lions can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They strolled past Amanda-Clearcreek with points to spare, taking the game 61-42. Liberty Union pushed the score to 48-24 by the end of the third, a deficit Amanda-Clearcreek cut but never quite recovered from.
Tomas Winter continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 15 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Manson, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.
Liberty Union's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-11. As for Amanda-Clearcreek, their defeat was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-18.
Liberty Union will take on Grove City Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Grove City Christian will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Liberty Union surely won't give up without a fight. As for Amanda-Clearcreek, they will head out on the road to take on Bloom-Carroll at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Amanda-Clearcreek will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 787th, while Bloom-Carroll is ranked 211th).
