Sandia Prep proved they can win big two weeks ago (they won by four) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the East Mountain Timberwolves 2-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Nico Chavez and Akasha Khalsa scored both of Sandia Prep's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 15 goals.

Sandia Prep has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up three goals over those eight matches. As for East Mountain, their loss dropped their record down to 11-4-2.
