The Upper Darby Royals had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They took down Pottsgrove 49-30 on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Upper Darby also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Despite the loss, Pottsgrove still got an impressive performance from Jessica Carroll, who scored 11 points along with 7 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Aleah Rockemore, who scored 3 points along with 5 rebounds.
Upper Darby's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Pottsgrove, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Upper Darby will head out on the road to face off against Pottstown at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Pottsgrove, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Brandywine Heights Area at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Brandywine Heights Area focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Friday.
