Despite the loss, San Gabriel Mission saw an underclassman step up: Sofia Valenzuela scored 17 points. That was a full 89.5% of San Gabriel Mission's points, marking the ninth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
San Gabriel Mission dropped their record down to 1-16 with that loss, which was their 16th straight at home. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 15.5 points per game. As for Ramona Convent, the victory (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 22-1.
San Gabriel Mission will head out on the road to take on Sacred Heart of Jesus at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ramona Convent, they will be playing at home against Paraclete at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
