Baseball Game Preview: Fellowship Christian Paladins vs. Norcross Blue Devils

The Fellowship Christian Paladins will square off against the Norcross Blue Devils at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Norcross took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Fellowship Christian, who comes in off a win.

Fellowship Christian is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Galloway last Thursday as they made off with a 14-1 win. Considering the Paladins have won seven matchups by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Will Bracken tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and not a single walk). Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, Fellowship Christian got a massive performance out of Mack Town, who scored three runs and stole five bases. Those three runs gave Town a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Coe Puckett, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI.

Meanwhile, after some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three contests, Norcross finally came back down to earth on Friday. They lost 10-2 to Lovett.

Fellowship Christian is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Norcross, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-18 record this season.

Fellowship Christian took their win against Norcross in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 11-2 score. Will the Paladins repeat their success, or do the Blue Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
