The Norristown Eagles lost against the Spring-Ford Rams back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Norristown was dealt a 67-10 defeat at the hands of Spring-Ford. Norristown was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 55-8.
Anna Azzara continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Spring-Ford, scoring 19 points along with six steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Azzara has scored at least 25% of Spring-Ford's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaliyah Solliday, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Norristown bumped their record down to 1-2 with that loss, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 22.9 points per game. As for Spring-Ford, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.
Norristown will be home for the holidays to greet Methacton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Methacton comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Spring-Ford is on the road again on Sunday and play against Neumann-Goretti at 12:00 p.m. on December 17th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Pennsylvania (Neumann-Goretti is ranked 58th, while Spring-Ford is ranked 44th).
