The Palmyra Cougars were the 50-18 winner over the Hempfield Black Knights when they last played one another back in December of 2017, but their luck changed this time around. Palmyra fell just short of Hempfield by a score of 56-53. It was the first time this season that Palmyra let down their fans at home.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Palmyra won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Lower Dauphin at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th. Lower Dauphin will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 490th, while Palmyra is ranked 166th). As for Hempfield, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Central Dauphin at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
