The Bucktail Bucks lost against the Neumann Regional Academy Golden Knights back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Bucktail fell 55-48 to Neumann Regional Academy. Bucktail has not had much luck with Neumann Regional Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Neumann Regional Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but GiGi Parlante led the charge by dropping a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds. Parlante has been hot recently, having posted nine or more rebounds the last 15 times she's played. Shanniyah Tutler was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with three steals.
Bucktail's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Neumann Regional Academy, the win (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 16-4.
Bucktail will look to defend their home court on Friday against Montgomery at 7:30 p.m. Bucktail is facing Montgomery at the right time seeing as Montgomery is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Neumann Regional Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against South Williamsport at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Neumann Regional Academy is coming into the match with four straight victories on the road, meaning South Williamsport will have to defend against a team hungry for a win.
