The Fargo Davies Eagles will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Shanley Deacons at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Fargo Davies faced Bismarck in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Fargo Davies came out on top against Bismarck by a score of 15-7.
Fargo Davies' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Grant Tschosik, who picked up 94 receiving yards and a touchdown. Tschosik's longest reception was for an incredible 87 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Zach Lilly, who rushed for 127 yards.
Meanwhile, Shanley put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 50-14 win over West Fargo. Considering Shanley has won seven matchups by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
It was another big night for Landon Meier, who threw for 337 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 10.9 yards per attempt, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground. Another player making a difference was Jordan Leininger, who picked up 93 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Fargo Davies now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Shanley, their win was their seventh straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 10-0.
Fargo Davies ended up a good deal behind Shanley when the teams last played back in October, losing 42-28. Can Fargo Davies avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
