The Totino-Grace Eagles will look to defend their home field on Saturday against the Fridley Tigers at 1:00 p.m.
Totino-Grace pushed their score all the way to 35 last Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were just a hair shy of victory and fell 36-35 to Willmar. Totino-Grace has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Justin Kuharski put forth a good effort for the losing side as he rushed for 139 yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Marquel Keten, who rushed for 73 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries.
Meanwhile, Fridley strolled past Edison with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 26-8. The victory was just what Fridley needed coming off of a 42-0 loss in their prior match.
Totino-Grace's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Fridley, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
Totino-Grace beat Fridley 21-12 in their previous meeting back in August. Does Totino-Grace have another victory up their sleeve, or will Fridley turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
