The Maxwell Panthers were the 31-29 winner over the Los Molinos Bulldogs when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Maxwell took a 36-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of Los Molinos. Maxwell found out winning isn't easy when you're outrebounded 16 to 2 on offense.
Maxwell's loss on Friday came despite strong showings from Teresita Salazar and Emma Hendrix. Salazar scored 14 points along with six rebounds and three steals, while Hendrix almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds. Hendrix hasn't dropped below nine rebounds for 15 straight games.
Leading Los Molinos to victory were Mckenna Michelle and Natalie Martinez. Michelle dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds, while Martinez scored 15 points along with six rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Michelle has scored all season.
Maxwell's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Los Molinos, their win bumped their record up to 7-18.
Maxwell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Los Molinos also has no future games currently scheduled.
