Muir will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Arcadia extended their winning streak to three on Friday. The Apaches were the clear victors by a 24-1 margin over Glendale. That looming 24-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Apaches yet this season.

Damian Catano was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Those 11 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Those doubles were his first of the season.
In other batting news, Arcadia let Jordan Vogel and Tyler Brereton run wild. Vogel went 2-for-3 with one home run, three stolen bases, and three runs, while Brereton got on base in four of his six plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI Brereton has posted since back in April of 2025. Joey Garcia was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.
Arcadia kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Muir started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Crescenta Valley. They came up short against the Falcons on Friday, falling 12-1. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Muir saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luca Cano, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double. Another was Ezekiel Rodriguez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.
Arcadia's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Muir, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
Muir's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Arcadia has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.2 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Muir, though, as they've been averaging only 3.5 strikeouts. Will Arcadia keep running through batters, or will the Mustangs buck the trend?
Arcadia beat Muir 6-1 in their previous meeting back in March of 2025. Will the Apaches repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
