Lincoln is 1-9 against Willow Glen since December of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Lincoln Lions will head out on the road to challenge the Willow Glen Rams at 7:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Lincoln comes in on four and Willow Glen on three.
Last Thursday, Lincoln earned a 40-29 win over Leigh.
Even though Willow Glen has not done well against Piedmont Hills recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Everything went Willow Glen's way against Piedmont Hills as Willow Glen made off with a 56-35 victory. Willow Glen has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 21 points or more this season.
Natalia Valerio was her usual excellent self, scoring 15 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Lucia Diaz was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Lincoln has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Willow Glen, they pushed their record up to 7-5 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home.
Lincoln came up short against Willow Glen in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 37-32. Can Lincoln avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
