Baseball Recap: Trinity Christian Takes a Loss

After flying high against Mary Persons last Saturday, Trinity Christian came back down to earth. Trinity Christian fell just short of the Druid Hills Red Devils by a score of 8-7 on Tuesday.

Trinity Christian got a good showing from Brady Rainwater, who pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. Rainwater has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Logan Moss made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 4-for-4. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Aidan Whitaker, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.

Even though they lost, Trinity Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Druid Hills only managed seven hits.

Trinity Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Druid Hills, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

Trinity Christian will square off against Sandy Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Druid Hills, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 7-0 win against Clarkston on the 26th.
