Bishop Ryan is 1-0 against Shiloh Christian since October of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Bishop Ryan Lions will head out on the road to face off against the Shiloh Christian Skyhawks at 2:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
After only 12 points in their last match, Bishop Ryan made sure to put some points up on the board against Nedrose on Thursday. Bishop Ryan claimed a resounding 38-7 victory over Nedrose on the road.
Meanwhile, Shiloh Christian had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 52 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They breezed by Beulah at home to the tune of 42-8. Shiloh Christian pushed the score to 42-0 by the end of the third, a deficit Beulah cut but never quite recovered from.
Shiloh Christian's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Michael Fagerland, who rushed for 137 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries, and Isaac Emmel, who rushed for 101 yards and four touchdowns on only six carries. Fagerland was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 54 yards. Eli Thompson did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 84 receiving yards.
Their wins bumped Bishop Ryan to 5-4 and Shiloh Christian to 8-1.
