Football Recap: Desert Hills Falls Despite Big Games from Brock Stookey and Isaac Andresen

Desert Hills had taken Snow Canyon down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Friday. The Thunder took a 27-15 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors. The Thunder gained 123 more yards on the day, but it was the Warriors that made the best use of them.

Desert Hills' loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Isaac Andresen, who rushed for 137 yards, and Brock Stookey, who picked up 109 receiving yards and one TD. With that strong performance, Andresen is now averaging an impressive 101.6 rushing yards per game.

A big part of Snow Canyon's win came down to the chemistry between Parker Olson and his top target Cam Hill. Olson threw for 147 yards and one touchdown while Hill picked up 57 receiving yards and one score. Those 57 receiving yards gave Hill a new career-high.

Desert Hills is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4. As for Snow Canyon, their record now sits at 4-1.

Desert Hills has already played their next match, a 42-7 defeat against Crimson Cliffs on the 19th. As for Snow Canyon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 35-21 victory against Pine View on the 19th.
