The Yerba Buena Aztec Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a 34-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of Harbor. Yerba Buena lost against Harbor in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 41-28 score last time.
Harbor's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Julianne Sanguinetti led the charge by scoring 11 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which Sanguinetti has scored at least 25% of Harbor's points. Gillian Hull was another key contributor, scoring 9 points.
Yerba Buena's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Harbor, they pushed their record up to 3-1 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Yerba Buena will head out on the road to face off against San Mateo at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Harbor, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against El Primero at 5:00 p.m. El Primero comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last five games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
