Brian Goodwin and James Kuefler provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Rockford. The connection went for 71 yards, the longest such play in Central Minnesota this season.
Maple Lake extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Kimball, 41-19. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
The Rockets' dynamic duo of Brock Deering and Brody Harstad proved tough for Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Deering threw for 265 yards and one touchdown and Harstad had 125 yards receiving. Brendon Schumacher helped Rockford's passing attack out by catching six balls for 90 yards.
Austin Kollman was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 27 carries, he ran for 181 yards as the Jaguars fell to the Jaguars. Ross Rath also contributed to the rushing game with 32 yards on the ground.
Austin Imdieke made the biggest impact on defense this week as Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa defeated Dan Houghton's team. The senior recorded one fumble.
Chris Moscho's team's Goodwin and Kuefler have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Central Minnesota in both passing and receiving yards. Goodwin has thrown for 691 yards this season, while Kuefler has 19 catches for 308 yards. Nick Suardi from the Rockets leads the league in rushing with 529 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Jaguars take on Maple Lake. Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa is in fifth place, while Tim Knudsen's team is in first place.
The Jaguars were the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from seventh to fifth in the league. Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa beat Rockford 28-20 earlier in the week.
