Perkiomen Valley will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
Perkiomen Valley put the finishing touches on their 12th blowout victory of the season on Monday. They breezed by Methacton on the road to the tune of 66-30. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 40-19.
Perkiomen Valley's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Grace Galbavy, who scored 15 points. Galbavy continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Quinn Boettinger was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Meanwhile, Boyertown scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They put the hurt on Pottsgrove with a sharp 59-33 victory. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Boyertown considering their 23-point performance the game before.
Among those leading the charge was Madelyn Weaver, who scored 27 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Engler, who scored ten points along with three steals.
Perkiomen Valley pushed their record up to 16-1 with that victory, which was their eighth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.9 points per game. As for Boyertown, their win bumped their record up to 4-11.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Perkiomen Valley have been smashing the glass this season, having only averaged 24.7 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Boyertown struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 26.1 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Everything came up roses for Perkiomen Valley against Boyertown in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 75-21 victory. With Perkiomen Valley ahead 52-9 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
