Ayala had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.2 runs) and they went ahead and made it ten on Tuesday. They walked away with an 8-3 win over the Mira Costa Mustangs. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bulldogs also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Easton Sarmiento made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out ten over six innings pitched. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that he has snagged this season.

In other batting news, Ayala let Eric Hernandez and Dylan Wood run wild. Hernandez went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run, while Wood went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one double. Jaden Valenzuela was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run.

Ayala hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in ten consecutive games.
