Carlisle has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Cumberland Valley Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Pennsylvania (Carlisle is ranked 408th, while Cumberland Valley is ranked 415th).
Last Friday, Carlisle was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 40-36 to Harrisburg.
Cumberland Valley posted their closest win yet this season on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Central Dauphin East and snuck past 35-32. Cumberland Valley didn't have much to brag about two games back, but this win makes it their second in a row.
Sienna Manns was her usual excellent self, scoring 12 points along with five steals. Greta Dwyer was another key contributor, scoring four points along with seven rebounds.
Carlisle bumped their record down to 4-9 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Cumberland Valley, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 4-9.
Carlisle came up short against Cumberland Valley in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 40-35. Can Carlisle avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
