The Hart Indians have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matches by 21 points or more this season. They really took it to West Ranch for the full four quarters, racking up a 66-20 victory at home. Winning may never get old, but Hart sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Hart's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lily Cornejo, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Cornejo hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Morgan Mack, who scored 13 points along with nine rebounds and five assists.
Hart's win bumped their record up to 14-5. As for West Ranch, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hart will challenge Canyon at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Canyon will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 333rd, while Hart is ranked 97th). West Ranch won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Verdugo Hills at 5:00 p.m. on January 6th. Hopefully Verdugo Hills focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine last Saturday.
