The Bennington Badgers will take on the Norris Titans at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Bennington sitting on 17 straight victories and Norris on seven.
Norris better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Bennington's game on Tuesday is any indication, that's when Bennington really gets things going. The Badgers were the clear victors by a 62-37 margin over Standing Bear. The Badgers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 games by 20 points or more this season.
Skylar Johnson was nothing short of spectacular: she shot 67% from the field on her way to 18 points along with six rebounds and five steals. That's the most steals she has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Harper Bohaboj, who had ten points in addition to five assists and five steals.
Bennington was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Standing Bear only racked up eight.
Meanwhile, Norris made easy work of York on Tuesday and carried off a 62-38 win. The Titans are also no stranger to big wins: their blowout was the eighth matchup they've won by 20+ points this season.
Norris' win came from a few key players that Bennington will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Ize Tidball, who went 5-for-11 to rack up 13 points and six boards. Ray Wegner was another key player, putting up six points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Bennington's record now sits at 17-0. As for Norris, their record is now 13-1.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Bennington has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 30.1 boards per game. However, it's not like Norris struggles in that department as they've been averaging 34 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Bennington beat Norris 53-44 in their previous matchup back in December of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Badgers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
