 Oliver Siegmund put in work while hitting and pitching. He  pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off   three  hits. Siegmund was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with two  doubles.
 Siegmund wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Jared Manago, who  went 1-for-2 with one  double and one  RBI.
Clarke Central's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clarke Central will challenge Hart County at 5:55  p.m.  on Tuesday. The last three games Clarke Central has played (dating back to last season) have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Athens Christian, they will hit the road for the first time this season to  take on  Westminster Christian Academy  at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
