The Carlisle Thundering Herd will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the West Perry Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Carlisle will be strutting in after a victory while West Perry will be coming in after a loss.
Last Friday, it was close, but Carlisle sidestepped Chambersburg for a 50-47 win. The win made it back-to-back wins for Carlisle.
Meanwhile, West Perry came up short against Greencastle-Antrim on Friday and fell 53-41. West Perry has struggled against Greencastle-Antrim recently, as their match on Friday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Carlisle is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. As for West Perry, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.
Carlisle was able to grind out a solid win over West Perry in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, winning 55-42. The rematch might be a little tougher for Carlisle since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
