The Oak Ridge Trojans will challenge the Rocklin Thunder at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The timing isn't great for Oak Ridge: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Rocklin has snatched up six consecutive wins on the road.
On Thursday, Oak Ridge came up short against Granite Bay and fell 8-3.
Oak Ridge got a good showing from Ben Ransi, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest hits Ransi has allowed since back in March.

At the plate, Jasen Womack was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. He has become a key player for Oak Ridge: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 7-14 otherwise.
Meanwhile, Rocklin hadn't done well against Franklin recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Thunder narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Wildcats 5-3. That's two games straight that the Thunder have won by exactly two runs.
Rocklin also got a great performance from Jeremiah Barrett as he didn't allow a single earned run over 4.2 innings pitched.
On the hitting side, Rocklin's win was truly a team effort as eight different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Mason Paranick, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI. Those three hits gave Paranick a new career-high. Roman Castellanos was another, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
Rocklin was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Franklin only posted a batting average of .214.
Rocklin's victory bumped their record up to 20-5. As for Oak Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 9-15.
