Baseball Recap: Stuart Hall Extends Home Winning Streak to Four

Stuart Hall barely beat Urban the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Knights' pitcher stepped up to hand the Blues an 11-0 shutout on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won five contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Ryder Anderson made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Anderson was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, Stuart Hall got a massive performance out of Alex Heinicke, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was William Malko, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Stuart Hall always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .607. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Urban only posted an OBP of .167.

Stuart Hall pushed their record up to 8-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Urban, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Looking ahead, Stuart Hall will take on Athenian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Owls will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last. As for Urban, they will face off against Lick-Wilmerding at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
