Marquette came tearing into Friday's contest with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Princeton Tigers get on the board and left with a 14-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Crusaders, who have now won 20 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Marquette's victory bumped their record up to 28-1. As for Princeton, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-16.

Coming up, Marquette will be taking part in a tournament against Newman Central Catholic at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Princeton will be paying especially close attention to the Crusaders' matchup: after the Crusaders face off against the Comets, they'll take on Princeton again at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
