In what's become a running theme this season, the Ridgway Elker gave their fans yet another huge victory on Wednesday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 56-27 victory over Smethport. The win was nothing new for Ridgway as they're now sitting on three straight.
Despite the loss, Smethport still got an impressive performance from Elizabeth Hungiville, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 13 rebounds. Hungiville is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season.
Smethport struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Ridgway's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Smethport, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.
Ridgway won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Brockway at 7:30 p.m. on January 11th. Hopefully Brockway focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 last Friday. As for Smethport, they will head out on the road to take on Austin at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
