Baseball Recap: Lincoln Snags Eighth Win in Last Nine Games

Lincoln barely beat Del Oro the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Trojans put the hurt on the Golden Eagles with a sharp 9-1 victory on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won nine games by six runs or more so far this season.

Brayden Glaser looked comfortable as he pitched 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits.

On the hitting side, Xavier Ayala was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. Bradley Thurman-Swanson was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Lincoln has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for Del Oro, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lincoln will challenge Tracy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Del Oro, they will face off against Oak Ridge at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trojans will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Golden Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
