The Kennedy Cougars entered their tilt with the Canoga Park Hunters with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. Kennedy really took it to Canoga Park for the full four quarters, racking up a 70-22 victory at home. Considering Kennedy has won three games by more than 28 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Andreya Villa had a dynamite game for Kennedy, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Melissa Moran, who scored 11 points along with 8 rebounds and 5 steals.
Kennedy's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Canoga Park, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Kennedy will be playing at home against Van Nuys at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Canoga Park, they will head out on the road to face off against St. Genevieve at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
