In what's become a running theme this season, the Shadow Hills Knights gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 69-14 win over Rancho Mirage at home. The win was familiar territory for Shadow Hills who now have eight in a row.
Shadow Hills got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Holly Martinez out in front who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Martinez has scored all season. Genesis Huerta was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with seven steals.
Shadow Hills pushed their record up to 24-4 with that victory, which was their tenth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.8 points per game. As for Rancho Mirage, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-21.
Shadow Hills does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Rancho Mirage won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Rajahs at 5:30 p.m. on February 2nd. Indio comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
