Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Ahmani Browder and Sarai Kamweru Lead Temescal Canyon to Victory

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against San Jacinto, Temescal Canyon was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Elsinore Tigers by a score of 49-42. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Titans also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2024.

Temescal Canyon was led to victory by Sarai Kamweru and Ahmani Browder. Kamweru dropped a double-double on 26 points and 17 boards, while Browder dropped a triple-double on 17 points, 13 rebounds, and ten assists. Kamweru's evening made it 11 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Temescal Canyon smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 11 consecutive matchups.

Temescal Canyon has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-11 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.8 points per game. As for Elsinore, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season.

Temescal Canyon has already played their next matchup (against Tahquitz), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Elsinore will welcome San Jacinto at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
