The Portola Tigers had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.2 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They secured a  74-68 W over Fall River. 74 seems to be a good number for Portola as the  squad scooped up a  victory with the same number of  points in their previous game.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Portola to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Connor Sheridan, who  dropped  a double-double on 26 points and 17  rebounds. That makes it ten consecutive games in which  Sheridan has scored at least 25% of Portola's points. Another player making a difference was  Liam Bowling, who  scored 18 points along with seven  rebounds.
 Defeat or not, Fall River got some senior leadership from  Jaxon Keys who  scored 27 points along with five  steals and  Brandon Brown who  scored 19 points along with seven  steals and five  assists. The  contest was  Keys' seventh in a row with at least ten points.  Camden Westlund was another key contributor,  scoring eight points along with five  assists.
 Portola's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Fall River, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-2.
 Portola and Tulelake will face off  at 12:20  p.m.  on December 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Fall River and Modoc will face off  at 5:40  p.m.  on December 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Modoc is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
