Even though the Lightridge Bolts have not done well against Independence recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Lightridge managed a 53-49 win over Independence. The win made it back-to-back wins for Lightridge.
Despite the loss, Independence still got an impressive performance from Grant Kunkle, who scored 19 points. Kunkle continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Akash Udandrao was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Lightridge's victory bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Independence, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.
