Video: Pitcher makes insane catch
Austin Trace of Canal Winchester (Ohio) made a jaw-dropping play last week.
After reaching the midpoint of the 2016 Nebraska baseball season, here at MaxPreps we have decided to comb through our baseball stat database and display what we believe are the Top 10 single game offensive performances through last weekend's contests in the Cornhusker State.
And we were not disappointed. From Maison Burnley belting three home runs in one outing to sophomore Wyatt Divis' four-double performance, there were plenty of gems to choose from. Ryan Moritz received strong consideration for No. 1 as well, when he and his bat were responsible for plating 10 runs in a 19-2 win over rival Omaha Roncalli Catholic last weekend.
At 7-5, Class A 11th-ranked Archbishop Bergan landed Tyler Push and Alec Karr in the Top 10. The Knights are the only club to land multiple players on this week's list. Seven of the nine schools listed in this Top 10 are ranked in the latest MaxPreps Class A and Class B baseball rankings, including Class B's top three clubs Skutt Catholic, Norris and Elkhorn.
Do you know of someone who should be on the list? Encourage that
player's coach to upload stats to MaxPreps (contact support@maxpreps.com
for info), and check on the
Nebraska baseball leaderboards all season long.
