Vacaville was not the first on the board on Saturday, but they got there more often. They walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Lincoln Trojans. The win was nothing new for the Bulldogs as they're now sitting on three straight.

Eric Johnson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on six hits and racked up nine Ks. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Isaiah Shahan and Jimmy Mac Niven did most of the damage at the plate: Shahan went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run, while Mac Niven scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits Mac Niven has posted since back in February. Caden Whitten was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Vacaville hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least three batters in three consecutive matches.

Vacaville pushed their record up to 10-6 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Lincoln, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8.

Vacaville has already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against River City on the 1st. As for Lincoln, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 9-3 win against Kimball on the 31st.
