Basketball Recap: Bella Moyer's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Bentworth over Bethlehem Center

Bentworth was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. The game between them and the Bethlehem Center Bulldogs didn't end well, with the Bentworth Bearcats falling 45-28. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bearcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 49-35 back in January.

Bentworth lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Bella Moyer, who posted nine points and five boards. Moyer is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Willow Eckels, who earned nine points.

It was another big night for Violet Trump, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 14 rebounds for Bethlehem Center. Kyleigh McDaniel was another key player, putting up ten points and six boards.

Bentworth's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Bethlehem Center, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.

When Bentworth and Bethlehem Center next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Bentworth will challenge Chartiers-Houston and their six-game winning streak at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Similarly, Bethlehem Center will try to stop California's three-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
