Despite their loss, Omaha Central saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Reality Mapp, who posted 11 points, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Gur'Nee McQueen, who shot 45% from the field to rack up 8 points.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Millard North). They came out on top against Papillion-LaVista South by a score of 65-55 on Tuesday. With that win, the Mustangs brought their scoring average up to 52.6 points per game.
Omaha Central better keep an eye on Clara Welker. She was instrumental in Millard North's win, putting up 22 points and four steals. Those four steals gave Welker a new career-high. Marianna Zephier-Murphy was another key player, going 5-for-9 on her way to 13 points.
Millard North was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Millard North now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Omaha Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
Omaha Central was dealt a bruising 72-43 loss at the hands of Millard North in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Thankfully for the Eagles, Emma Vander Plaats (who shot 83% from the field en route to 20 points) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
