The Tri-County Cavaliers will take on the Caston Comets at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Tri-County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.8 runs per game this season.
Tri-County is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. Everything went their way against North Newton as they made off with a 16-6 win. The result was nothing new for the Cavaliers, who have now won seven matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Tri-County got a massive performance out of Nick Foster, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with four runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Those four runs gave Foster a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Vance Tyler, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
Tri-County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .389. They are 5-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Caston entered their tilt with South Newton on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Rebels by a score of 6-1.
Logan Mollenkopf made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Mollenkopf was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Brodie Howard was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. London Herd was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs.
Caston's victory bumped their record up to 19-5. As for Tri-County, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
Saturday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Tri-County hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .325. However, it's not like Caston struggles in that department as they've averaged .355. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
