The Elsinore Tigers will head out on the road to square off against the Temescal Canyon Titans at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Elsinore 3.4, Temescal Canyon 2.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Elsinore is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Cornerstone Christian just ended the team's nine-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Crusaders by a score of 4-3.

Elsinore got a good showing from Isaiah Henderson, who struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits (and only one walk). Henderson has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Elsinore saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Stankus, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI. Another was Edgar Lopez, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.
Meanwhile, Temescal Canyon came tearing into Wednesday's matchup with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Tigers a 9-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Titans, who have now won 11 contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Tristan Skaggs-Whittle tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out ten over six innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March.
At the plate, Jonathan Reece and Gannon Gonzales did most of the damage at the plate: Reece went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI, while Gonzales went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs. Those three stolen bases gave Gonzales a new career-high. Harrison McGarvey also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Temescal Canyon pushed their record up to 20-3-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.2 runs over those games. As for Elsinore, their loss dropped their record down to 15-7.
