It was a good run, but the Westmoor Rams unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a hard 46-32 fall against Jefferson. Westmoor was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Jefferson apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Jefferson's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Grace Wang led the charge by dropping a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds. Wang has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played. Jerzey Gallegos was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Westmoor's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-5. As for Jefferson, their win bumped their record up to 10-8.
Westmoor will head out on the road to challenge Terra Nova at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Terra Nova will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 873rd, while Westmoor is ranked 432nd). As for Jefferson, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Capuchino at 6:00 p.m. Capuchino is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.
