On Wednesday, things could have been worse for Orthopaedic, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 25-6 loss to USC-MAE. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Orthopaedic in their matchups with USC-MAE: they've now lost four in a row.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Downtown Magnets, who are still winless after their 12th game. They suffered a tough 46-22 loss at the hands of Central City Value on Tuesday. Downtown Magnets was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 26-6.
Orthopaedic's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Downtown Magnets, they bumped their record down to 0-12 with that loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.
Orthopaedic took their victory against Downtown Magnets in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 40-15. Will Orthopaedic repeat their success, or does Downtown Magnets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
