Bellwood-Antis enjoyed a cozy 62-45 victory over Central on Monday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Bellwood-Antis also won the last time the pair played last Wednesday.
Bellwood-Antis found their leader in underclassman Lilly Gerwert, who scored 18 points along with nine rebounds and seven blocks. Gerwert is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last five games she's played. Chloe Hammond was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Bellwood-Antis has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Central, they now have a losing record at 8-9.
Bellwood-Antis will head out on the road to take on Bishop Guilfoyle at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Bishop Guilfoyle will be looking to keep their nine-game home win streak alive. Central will take on Bald Eagle Area at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bald Eagle Area will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 511th, while Central is ranked 247th).
