Baseball Recap: Jaime Hernandez and Anthony Molina Secure Win for Marquez

After only one run in their last game, Marquez made sure to put some runs up on the board against Jordan on Monday. The Gladiators never let the Bulldogs get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. The Gladiators might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by six runs or more this season.

Anthony Molina and Jaime Hernandez did most of the damage at the plate: Molina went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs, while Hernandez went a perfect 2-for-2 with four stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs Hernandez has posted since back in February. Jason Gutierrez was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and three runs.

Marquez always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .536. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Jordan only posted an OBP of .167.

Marquez's victory bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Jordan, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Marquez wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Bravo on the 16th. As for Jordan, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 17-3 defeat against King/Drew on the 16th.
