Two dominant forwards in Paris Strozier jr and Aligo Banja are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. Having just played yesterday, the Thunderbird Titans will jump right back in to play the Central Bobcats at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. Thunderbird has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 362 points over their last five contests.
Even though Mountain Pointe scored an imposing 57 points on Wednesday, Thunderbird still came out on top. Thunderbird enjoyed a cozy 71-57 victory over Mountain Pointe.
Strozier jr was his usual excellent self, scoring 29 points along with five rebounds. Those 29 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Clark, who scored seven points along with nine rebounds and six assists.
Meanwhile, Central entered their tilt with Metro Tech with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Central claimed a resounding 112-28 win over Metro Tech at home. Central's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Thunderbird is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. As for Central, they pushed their record up to 8-2 with that win, which was their third straight at home.
