The West Campus Warriors will challenge the Fairfield Falcons at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday. West Campus is coming into the game hot, having won their last seven games.
Last Thursday, West Campus made easy work of Foothill and carried off a 17-7 win. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won ten matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.
Jarrett Arias made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

In other batting news, West Campus got a massive performance out of Emmett Scharn, who scored three runs while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave Scharn a new career-high. Xavier Mendoza was another key player, going 3-for-4 with five RBI and two runs.
West Campus kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.5 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 12.
Meanwhile, Fairfield unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pioneer.
Like West Campus, Fairfield also got a great game from a two-way player: Trustin Mitchell. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Mitchell was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
Mitchell wasn't the only one making solid contact as seven players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Devin Knox, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.
West Campus pushed their record up to 12-5 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Fairfield, their loss dropped their record down to 14-5.
